3/4 size violin

Submitted by admin on Mon, 02/11/2008 - 19:25.

Inside the violin, is a label that states "made in Germany". That dates it to pre-WW II. After WWII the label would say made in West Germany. Construction of the violin indicates that it was made entirely by hand probably at the turn of the century. It's age is shown in the materials used particularly the pattern of the wood on the back.

This violin has been professionally reconditioned. It has all new strings, bridge, pegs and chin rest. It has been cleaned and polished and is in excellent condition, ready to play.  It is as close to its original condition as it could be made to be.

The sound is clear and the violin is easy to play. The other 3/4 is a little more demanding for its better sound and also much more expensive. This is an excellent violin for your young student to learn on.  When your student grows out of it you can use the equity in it to move on to the next level of violin.  That or the violin should hold or increase value as an antique should you choose to save it as a collectible.
