Montreal violin
Inside of this violin is a label that states CHEZ...BAYEUR FRERES LUTHIERS 1934 MONTREAL. There is Regredue written on the upper corner of the label so I am not sure if this was the original construction or a repair.
This is an all Canadian violin with the two piece back made from sugar maple. The construction and design are very similar to the Metzo violin. It was probably made by someone moonlighting in their spare time.
This violin would make a good fiddle for playing out by the campfire in the summer time or this could be a nice student violin.
