French Stradivarius copy - for sale
Inside of this violin is a label that states Copie de Antonius Stradivarius Cremonenfis Faciebat Anno 1721. To the one side of the label is the trademark of whoever made it. At the other F-hole is a small label that states MADE IN FRANCE.
The violin is in good shape with no damage. As you can see the varnish has a nice red hue. Our luthier cleaned the violin and confirmed that it was indeed made in France. It is overvarnished which affects the sound. Rather than try to correct this we chose to complement this by installing Dominant strings to give this violin a nice mellow sound
