Inside of this violin is a label that reads COPY OF Antonius Stradivarius. This is pretty brief compared to most of the Strad copy labels.

This was probably factory made in Germany at the turn of the century. It is in pretty good shape with the few marks left after cleaning and polishing being the result of age and normal use.

This violin has been reconditioned.  Our lithier had to reglue the body and neck, reset the neck angle, put in a new bridge, sound post, pegs, strings, chin rest, tailpiece, tail hanger and endpin.  He had to clean it and polish it. 

The sound is very nice and this is an enjoyable violin to play.  It likes different music and plays with a warm and very bright tone. It is good for a student or someone who like to play different kinds of music.
