Czecho-Slovakia Violin #2
Inside of this violin is stamped Copy of Antonius Stadivarius...Made in Czecho-Slovakia. This indicates that this violin was made in Czecho-Slovakia shortly after WW II. The wood is very nice. There is a nice subtle grain on the back and the spruce on the top has no cracks. On the back of the violin at the top of the body where the neck is joined there is a stamp "STUDENT".
This violin is just about identical to the Czech #1 violin. The difference is that this one has a little more wear on the top but the varnish is in a little better shape.
Our luthier did very little work on this violin and that is reflected in the price. It is simply that our costs were lower and we can thus offer this violin at a little better price.
